Dan Barber will speak about his best-selling new book The Third Plate, which moves beyond farm-to-table to offer a revolutionary way of eating. Barber is co-owner and executive chef of Blue Hill in Manhattan and Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills, NY, also home to Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture, a nonprofit farm and educational center. His writing on food and agricultural policy has appeared in the New York Times; he has received multiple James Beard awards; and in 2009 he was named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world.

Regular tickets are $40 ($30 for students), which includes reserved seating for music by Michael Fracasso at 7 pm and Barber’s presentation at 7:30 pm, and a post-show Farmers Market and book signing with Barber at 8:30 pm.

VIP tickets are $135, which includes a 6 pm reception with Barber featuring food from local chefs, drinks, and music; reserved mezzanine seating for the show; a signed copy of Barber’s book; and garage parking.
