The editor of the new book Beyond Walls and Cages: Prisons, Borders and Global Crisis will lead a discussion of the book along with two contributors, Bob Libal and Lauren Martin.
Beyond Walls and Cages challenges the idea that borders and prisons create safety, security, and order. Instead, walls and cages fortify wealth and power inequalities, racism, gender and sexual oppression. Beyond Walls and Cages offers scholarly and activist perspectives on these issues.
