Café Libro Open Mike hosts the second #BlackPoetsSpeakOut event in Austin. Black poets and allies are invited to read a work by a black poet in response to police violence. A panel on art and activism will follow, including Amanda Johnston (Black Poets Speak Out), Florinda Bryant (Creative Action), Lilia Rosas (Resistencia Bookstore / Red Salmon Arts), and LaKiza Fowler (Sister Seeking Justice / The People’s Task Force).
