Huston-Tillotson University will host Earth Day Austin for 2018. There will be a variety of educational and exploratory activities. Among the events will be: “Policy Power: Insights On Influence In Local Decision Making” panel discussion; screening of “Age of Consequences” followed by a discussion on the national security implications of climate change; “Competing Claims On Water,” screening of film excerpts highlighting the challenges of stewarding precious water resources; and screening of two documentaries that feature communities confronting the environmental, social and economic impacts of fracking and coal power.
