The goal of the “No Ban, No Wall” Rally is to bring awareness of the shared struggles of the immigrant and refugee communities in Texas that are confronting antagonistic federal and state policies. Speakers include Samer Khalaf, national president of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee; Texas state Rep. Celia Israel; and Austin City Council member Greg Casar, along with representatives of the Workers Defense Project, Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (Raíces), Refugee Services of Texas, Austin Tan Cerca de la Frontera, and Syrian American Refugee Aid.
