University of Texas Professor Robert Jensen will speak on “We Are All Apocalyptic Now: Moral Responsibilities in Crisis Times.” Jensen will discuss the need for a “calm apocalypticism” that takes seriously the social and ecological crises we face. Rather than search for magical solutions, he will argue for a realistic program that identifies and challenges the unsustainable systems that currently structure our world.
Jensen, who teaches in the School of Journalism, is the author of Plain Radical: Living, Loving, and Learning to Leave the Planet Gracefully.
