UCLA history professor Robin D.G. Kelley will speak on “Spirit of ’68: Remembering Revolution in these Dark Times.” Kelley is the author of a number of books, including Freedom Dreams: The Black Radical Imagination; Race Rebels: Culture, Politics, and the Black Working Class; and Yo’ Mama’s DisFunktional: Fighting the Culture Wars in Urban America. Among his honors are the Harmsworth Chair of American History at Oxford University and a Guggenheim Fellowship. UT professor Eric Tang will be the respondent.
