“Shadows of Liberty” explores the failures of U.S. corporate journalism to provide the scope and depth of information needed for a functioning democracy. Filmmaker Jean-Philippe Tremblay relies on journalists, activists and academics for insider accounts of a broken media system in which a handful of corporations control the flow of much of the news the public sees.
The screening is sponsored by the Texas State Employees Union. For more information, contact Stephanie Jackson, firstname.lastname@example.org.
