“Shadows of Liberty” explores the failures of U.S. corporate journalism to provide the scope and depth of information needed for a functioning democracy. Filmmaker Jean-Philippe Tremblay relies on journalists, activists and academics for insider accounts of a broken media system in which a handful of corporations control the flow of much of the news the public sees.
