This fundraiser for Austin Tan Cerca de la Frontera’s legal fund and their Mexican partners, the Border Committee of Workers, will feature a short film, food, live music, and dancing.
There also will be brief presentations by members of a solidarity delegation who were arrested in April while visiting Mexican maquiladora workers in Ciudad Acuña. After being detained for nine hours, they were deported from Mexico and banned from returning, though the charges against them were never clear.
