Austin Jewish Voice for Peace and the Interfaith Community for Palestinian Rights (ICPR) are cosponsoring a talk and discussion with Rabbi Cantor Michael Davis, a founding member of the Jewish Voice for Peace Rabbinical Council.
Davis grew up in a traditional Jewish community, immigrated to Israel as a part of the settler movement and served in the Israeli Defense Forces, and then returned to the United States to become a Reform cantor and rabbi. He will discuss why he supports the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement and Palestinian liberation using Jewish principles and tradition.
