Texas doesn’t like to be told what to do by Congress, yet Texas is willing to exert its power over counties and cities. Where do residents of our state fit in this power struggle? The panel to discuss these questions will include Gina Hinojosa, District 49, Texas House of Representatives; Leslie Pool, Austin City Council member; Reggie James, director of Lone Star Chapter, Sierra Club; and Sanford Levinson, professor in the University of Texas School of Law

The event is sponsored by Common Ground for Texans, a nonpartisan nonprofit based in Austin.
