Date: April 17, 2014
Time: 7:15 pm  to  9:00 pm

This evening of live music featuring Kiko Villamizar and Queer Qumbia will benefit the Hutto Visitation Program. There will also be a silent auction and presentations.

The T. Don Hutto detention facility is a for-profit private prison filled with immigrant women, most of whom are seeking asylum. The visitation program shows solidarity with the women detained there; resists the isolation of detention; monitors human-rights conditions at Hutto; and refuses a detention system that labels humans as “illegal.”

Tickets are $8 in advance by purchasing them through the Grassroots Leadership website or $10 at the door.

Location: El Sol y La Luna, 600 E. 6th St., Austin
