The 2017 Abriendo Brecha Conference will focus on recent ICE raids in Austin; the racist, anti-immigrant, and Islamophobic executive orders; Texas Senate Bill 4 (anti-sanctuary bill); and the grassroots fight for Austin to become a sanctuary city.

The conference begins with breakfast at 9:30 am, with panels throughout the day. Speakers will include representatives from ICE Out of Austin, Grassroots Leadership, St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, City of Austin, Youth Rise Texas, and University Leadership Initiative.
