Local artivist Toi Scott will talk about the new book “Notes from an Afro-Genderqueer 2” and the research for a play-in-progress, “Resistencia: Sangre.” The anarchist play follows a group of radical, anarchist, and queer punk band members involved in Puerto Rico’s underground movement and music scene who are dedicated to the dismantling of the current system and the liberation of the island’s people. The group finds out that they are part of a history that includes of slave revolts, indigenous resistance, and rebellion.

The evening will also feature music by the punk band Blacksploitation.
