A Citizenship Drive will help permanent residents fill out naturalization applications. Volunteers will translate and help with various tasks, and pro-bono lawyers will review the applications.
Anyone interested in volunteering must attend a mandatory training that will be available twice, July 24 and July 27 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm, at two different locations. Those who completed a training for the previous Citizenship Drive in March 2017 do not need to repeat that. Register online.
The project is hosted by Education Austin collaboration with Equal Justice Center, Casa Marianella, and the Mexican Consulate. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Location: Travis High School, 1211 E. Oltorf St., Austin, 78704
