Social Action movie night at Frist UU Church will feature a Texas documentary examining the plight of immigrant women and children incarcerated in for-profit detention centers while seeking political asylum. A trailer is here.
After the 40-minute documentary, the filmmaker and immigrant rights organizers will offer a Q&A and discussion about next steps. Donations will go to non-profit Grassroots Leadership. Popcorn will be served.
