This first event in the “Whose Garden? Whose Food?” series sponsored by Food for Black Thought will be a screening of the youth-directed documentary film “East Austin Food Stories.” In this short film, directors Charles Easley, Kayla Holman, and Isaiah Stewart ask Eastside residents what they think about food in and around their community.
A discussion with the directors and participants in the film participants will explore issues around gentrification, soul food, and food justice.
Bring a dish or non-alcoholic beverage to share.
