Emily Yates, who spent six years in the U.S. Army, is also a writer and a ukelele and banjo player. Her songs include “Try Not To Be A Dick,” which was a finalist in the 2012 International Songwriting Competition, and “Smoke Break,”a reflection on her deployment to Iraq. Emily will perform two sets, starting at 5 pm.
