Columbia University professor Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak, a founding member of the Institute for Comparative Literature and Society, will be joined by Austin activist Carlos Perez de Alejo, co-editor of Presente!: Latin@ Immigrant Voices in the Struggle for Racial Justice / Voces Inmigranted Latin@s en la Lucha por la Justicia Racial, in a dialogue about the ways collective actions ‘here’ and ‘there’ trouble and complicate life ‘here’ and ‘there.’
