Alex Abdo will keynote the Texas ACLU’s conference on “Privacy and Technology in the 21st Century: Rights, Responsibilities, and the Bottom Line.” Abdo, an ACLU staff attorney, worked with the National Security Project, where he was involved in litigation involving the Patriot Act, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, and the treatment of detainees in Guantánamo Bay.
During the conference, leaders from the private and public sectors will discuss privacy and high-tech security. The event is free, but sign up online to ensure seating.
