Raj Patel will discuss the introductory chapter of his forthcoming book, Seven Cheap Things, co-authored with sociologist Jason W. Moore. Patel, a research professor in the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas, is the author of Stuffed and Starved: The Hidden Battle for the World Food System and The Value of Nothing: How to Reshape Market Society and Redefine Democracy.
