The Festival Beach Food Forest is sponsoring a screening of “Biggest Little Farm,” which follows wildlife documentarian John Chester and his wife Molly as they work to develop a sustainable farm on 200 acres outside of Los Angeles.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion on the state of sustainability and food in the Austin area, with a focus on regenerative agriculture, featuring Edwin Marty, Food Policy Manager for the City of Austin; Zachary Herigodt, Founder of YardFarm; and Amanda Masino, Biology Professor at Huston-Tillotson University.

The Festival Beach Food Forest is a public park in east Austin that is home to an edible garden, where everyone is welcome to walk through and pick whatever fruits, vegetables, and herbs they want to eat.

Tickets for the event, which includes dinner, are $60. Information online.

Location: Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar, 1120 S. Lamar Blvd., Austin, 78704
