The Campaign to End the Death Penalty is hosting a screening of the documentary “Broken on All Sides: Race, Mass Incarceration & New Visions for Criminal Justice in the U.S.”
The “drug war” has resulted in an exploding prison population that is disproportionately black and brown—what some experts have called a new form of Jim Crow. This film examines the consequences of targeting people of color for significantly higher rates of stops, searches, arrests, prosecution, and harsh sentences.
