The documentary “Under the Stack” follows the stories of three different communities and their experience working with the American Smelting and Refining Company (ASARCO). The reception begins at 5:30 pm, followed by the screening at 6:30 pm and a panel including director Anne Fischel, two activists featured in the film, and University of Texas law professor Kelly Haragan.

The event is sponsored by the Humanities Institute and Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice at UT, and the Austin Public Library
