The Board of Directors of Workers Defense Project is sponsoring a screening of the documentary “I Am: The Shift Hits the Fan.” Hollywood film director Tom Shadyac (director of “Bruce Almighty,” “Ace Ventura,” “Liar Liar,” and “Patch Adams”) speaks with intellectual and spiritual leaders about what’s wrong with our world and what we can do to make it better. After a cycling accident left him incapacitated, possibly for good, Shadyac emerged with a new sense of purpose that lead to the conversations with such luminaries as David Suzuki, Noam Chomsky, Howard Zinn, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and Lynne McTaggart. Turning his back on a life of excess and greed, he wanted to explore how we can improve the way we live and walk in the world.

More information about the film and a trailer are online.

The minimum donation of $5 will benefit the work of WDP on behalf of immigrant workers.
