The Workers Defense Project will celebrate 10 years of building a dignified Austin for working people. Honorees include Dolores Huerta, Linda-Chavez Thompson, and WDP Director Cristina Tzintzun.
Doors open at 6 pm with the program at 7 pm. The opening music will be provided by the locally grown Brazilian music band Morena Soul, with an after-party featuring music by Cerronato, which plays an innovative version of Colombian vallenato and cumbia.
The $30 ticket includes a meal (catering by Cafe Rebelde) with two drinks. The $60 legacy tickets include special seating and a reception with honorees. Tickets can be purchased online.
The Workers Defense Project is a partner in the progressive community center at 5604 Manor.
