And what should news consumers understand about how the media industry affects the way news is reported? Speakers include Tom Hartwell, a photojournalist based in Egypt, and Paula Newberg, a professor of Government and Chair in Pakistan Studies at the University of Texas. The program is hosted by KUT Radio’s Rebecca McInroy and moderated by Christopher Rose, co-host of 15 Minute History.

Doors open at 5:30 pm. The program is free but with limited seating. First come, first seated.
