What is it like covering a conflict? What goes into choosing the images and text that get broadcast and printed throughout the world? And what should news consumers understand about how the media industry affects the way news is reported? Speakers include Tom Hartwell, a photojournalist based in Egypt, and Paula Newberg, a professor of Government and Chair in Pakistan Studies at the University of Texas. The program is hosted by KUT Radio’s Rebecca McInroy and moderated by Christopher Rose, co-host of 15 Minute History.
